Klong Thom Waterfall is a famous tourist destination of Krabi province. It looks like a hot waterfall but the water is not that hot and the temperature is around 40 - 50 Celsius. The hot water seeps through the ground surface that has grove forest covering it. The waterfall is 5 meters tall and has 3 levels, each level has its own ponds (like a bathtub). These ponds occured from the accumulation of limestone sediment in the spring and each level has 4 - 5 ponds, each pond has 1 - 1.5 meter depth. The pond has diluted sulfur as its component and it has a suitable temperature for bathing. Many tourists recommend this place for bathing and they usually travel along with going to the Emerald pool because it is not that far away. Other than the waterfall, there is also another pond that looks like a bathtub and many large pools built for the tourists to bath, relax their muscle and reduce stress along with taking in this natural atmosphere. At the present, this hot spring waterfall Khlong Thom is one of the most recommended location among the tourists. Many people recommend to go there in the morning from 08.30 A.M. or after 4.00 P.M. because there shouldn't be many tourists.
